Supply Teachers' Conference: July 6th

It was proposed by Brighton and Hove NUT, East Sussex NUT and Lewes, Eastbourne and Wealden NUT.  It had to go through three Annual conference motions- but the NUT will now be hosting its first (of many) Supply Teachers' Conference.

This one day conference will be held on Saturday 6 July at NUT headquarters in London.

The day is open to all supply teacher members, with the aim of exploring local and national strategies to support their employment and encouraging supply teachers to become more active within their local associations.

Congratulations to local NUT members- especially Angie Travis, Val Cane, Paul Bishop and others who have campaigned so hard to make this event a reality.  Let's make it a success- if you are an NUT supply teacher, make sure you register today !  Please also contact your local secretary- local Associations should be pleased to cover travel costs etc.
